Tree Day

26-7-13 Yesterday 6D students gave talks to all classes at MPS about the importance of trees. Today all Year 6 planted 70 shrubs and groundcovers for National Schools' Tree Day. The planting is an annual activity undertaken by Year 6 as part of their leadership responsibilities. The Green Team (Tegan and Charlotte) assisted students by organising the plants and demonstrating good planting techniques. This year Bunnings Warehouse became involved by supplying potting soil and compost tumblers. Mr Firth and Mr Cobcroft assisted the planting process. Thank you Year 6 for helping improve the school environment.
